Well...for those of you who thought i dropped off the face of the climbing world you were wrong. I have not been in a gym but I have been training at home and climbing outside. I've actually sent 3 v10s 2 V11s and got the secong ascent on Ryan Sewells Insomnia, a V12. So no, I havent dropped off the face of the earth yet. Right now I'm planning to be an officer for Fort Worth so I may just drop off during the academy but no 'til then.

Well This is the first video I've really gotten of a send. This is a variation of a V6 called not if your pregnant. On bloody Flapper it isn't rated but in Texas Limestone Bouldering it's a V9. I'm pretty psyched. I actually went out there to get Video of the V12 but then my camera died. Hopefully I'll get back out soon. Last weekend was CCS nationals. Unfortunately I didn't do as well as I wanted. The first three routes were fine and I was actually in the lead. Then I bombed the next two routes and ended up in fifth. all the scores were really close. It's too bad that this was my senior year. I guess that means SCS next year. I've got a comp in two weeks that I'm training for. Should be good. I also got a video of me sending at Nationals so I'll post those as soon as I can.

Regionals at Baylor turned out pretty well. Actually...it was awesome. It couldn't have gone better. First off I won the comp. Therefore I won CCS regionals. Nationals is next and it's crazy. So excited.

So I finally went and got the old data off my crashed hard drive. On there was this picture of my first recognisable achievement. This was my first V4 in the gym. To this day I can remember exactly how it went...good times.

Projects

So...the Projects are pretty sweet. The only thing I've been on is a V3 but it felt like I was standing on shelves. They pull like crazy. So smooth.

Comps are time consuming.

Participating in comps can consume your climbing time so fast. It seems like every week im training or resting. Couple that with the fact that I work most weekends, I don't get to do a lot of outdoor climbing. My 8a hasn't even had a new addition this year except a v3/4. Pretty sad. Luckily though I did get to got out to Reimers Ranch last weekend. I finally got on Block Party, a 5.13 out there. No lie, I got owned. Leading still scares me. I overgripped and got pumped out really fast. I did get to flash a 12 though. That was fun. Then I did a single solitary boulder problem. It was really clean though. Here's a pic. It was lots of fun but I left a right Anasazi there. Good thing I have another pair.

So last weekend was the A&M comp. I got first in collegiate. I got on the hardest route and fell at the last stinkin' move. Needless to say I was sad. I am just more pumped to get going on training for teh next comps. I feel so mch stronger now. There wasn't a single move I had trouble pulling. So now all I have to do is build up my endurance. Super psyched.

This weekend was my first comp of the 09 CCS season. I am pretty psyched because I got first. It actually was really fun because the routes were great and the staff is really friendly. I'll tell you more about it once I get some pics up.

Hey, make sure you know about the Rock Rodeo. Five Ten is putting it on at the mother land of bouldering, Hueco Tanks. If you have any questions look up the comp on Hueco Tanks website.

So... I'm not sure if they had a schedule handy when they were planning CCS this year but the first comp of the series falls on the same day as ABS nationals. Needless to say, that sucks. Naturally I choose to go to the CCS comp. I'd rather win at Tech then get whooped at the spot. I am going to climb tomorrow until my arms fall off. I am so out of it. I feel strong but my endurance is shot. I finally finished my suburban though and im super psyched. I know this may be a shock but I'm going to put up a picture that doesnt have me in it. It isn't really even a climbing picture. But you'd have no problem getting to the crag in it.
This is a before and after pic. I really like this car.
